How to play

  1. Place honey cells beside flowers: each flower beside a honey cell adds 1 honey a turn.
  2. Reach the honey goal before the turn limit with the queen unhurt.
  3. Read the dashed route: if it is longer than the wasp's patience, the wasp gives up.

Controls

Tap a tile, then a cell: the first tap previews, the second places. With a mouse, hover to preview and click to place. Keyboard: arrows move, Enter places, 1 to 3 choose a tile, C flips, U undoes.

About this game

A turn-based strategy game on a hexagonal field. Each turn you place one of three tiles; every cell both produces honey and acts as a wall. Raids are announced in advance and each wasp's route is drawn, so the outcome of a plan can be read before you commit. Every wasp has a limited patience: a route longer than that sends it home, so a well-placed wall can be as good as a sentry. The ten scenarios introduce the grid, the hand and the flip, flower placement, the raid schedule, sentries, scouts, stones and hornets; every scenario was solved by a search program, and the par turn is the best result it found. Two endless modes follow: the Hive of the day, the same map for everyone on a given day, and the Long season, a new map each time. In both you pick a perk every ten turns.
