Security tools
Small tools for checking a password, a download, a link, a message or a website. They run on your device and send nothing anywhere. Each page says what the result does and does not prove.
01
Password strength and generator
Shows how length and character set decide the number of possibilities, what that means under three stated guessing speeds, and generates a random password in your browser.
02
File integrity check
Computes SHA-256, SHA-384 or SHA-512 of a file or text in your browser and compares it with the value the publisher lists.
03
Link anatomy
Splits a web address into its parts and points out patterns common in phishing links: a hidden real host, lookalike characters, a brand name in a subdomain.
04
E-mail header reader
Reads pasted message headers, lists the sender fields and authentication results and flags mismatches between the visible sender and the technical sender.
05
HTTP security header audit
Checks pasted response headers for Strict-Transport-Security, Content-Security-Policy, framing, MIME sniffing, referrer and cookie attributes, with the reason for each finding.
06
JWT inspector
Decodes the header and payload of a JSON Web Token locally, converts the time claims and flags settings that deserve attention, such as an unsigned token or no expiry.
